VIENNA. Under a new name and in a new location VF Betriebgesellschaft mbH will organize Vienna’s international art fair at the gateway between East and West: viennacontemporary (former Viennafair New Contemporary), announced kunstnet.at.
From 24 to 27 September 2015 viennacontemporary will be held at Marx Halle (in Neu Marx), Karl-Farkas-Gasse 19, 1030, Vienna. The unchanged team of VF Betriebsgesellschaft mbH, led by artistic director Christina Steinbrecher-Pfandt and managing director Renger van den Heuvel, guarantees the continuity and the quality of services for galleries, collectors, representatives of art instiutions, visitors and VIP Guests.
With a new name and a new location, VF Betriebsgesellschaft mbH makes a strong statement regarding the further development of the international contemporary art fair and the importance of Vienna as a market place.
In 2015 viennacontemporary will have an elaborate side program with curated sections, solo exhibitions, special projects and a talks program with renowned international speakers and collectors. In cooperation with various art exhibitions and events in town, viennacontemporary will deliver the finest experience of contemporary art Vienna has to offer.
The move to Marx Halle makes it possible to already announce the exibithion dates for 2016 and 2017 allowing galleries and institutions to plan their participation in future editions of viennacontemporary well in advance.
The first edition of viennacontemporay is a major step forward in strengthening Vienna as an international market place for contemporary art and as a platform for exchange and networking between art communities of East and West.
